Kirtland Dentist - Joseph Koehler DDS

Dr. Koehler is a five-time recipient of Cleveland Magazine and Northern Ohio Live Magazine's topDentists award. 

Our office staff is fully certified and licensed.  KatieT.  is a Certified Dental Assistant and our Office Manager. She earned her BA in Theater at the University of Findlay .   Danielle M. is Registered Dental Hygienist, an Expanded Function Duty Auxiliary and holds a Masters Degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Michigan.  Formerly on faculty at U of M, she taught Dental Anatomy. 

Dr. Koehler and the entire office staff use magnified illuminated optics for all dental procedures.  Additionally, Dr. Koehler uses a surgical microscope for selected cosmetic and high tolerance procedures to ensure the best possible treatment results.   Less than 1 in 100 general practice dentists are currently trained to make use of a surgical microscope. 

Dr. Koehler uses the most contemporary Diagnostic Digital Dental imaging system and software for high resolution, low emission dental x-rays.  Making use of an intraoral camera, patients can view realtime images of conditions within their mouth alongside digital radiographs of the same area.

Dr. Koehler completed his undergraduate and doctoral degrees at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.  He and his wife, Mary Jeanne, are the parents of three young adult children and are 30 year residents of Kirtland.  Dr. Koehler is a  parishioner at Divine Word Catholic Church in Kirtland, he and his wife are leader members of Families in Christ Jesus Community, and he serves on the board of Project HOPE of Cleveland, a health outreach and empowerment ministry.  Dr. Koehler served as a clinical instructor for the Lakeland College Dental Hygiene program for 19 years and is a former adjunct instructor for Case School of Dental Medicine at the Free Clinic.
